How Does Vitamin D Blood Drop Testing Work?
The test kit contains everything needed for sample collection. The patient uses a lancet to pierce a finger (similar to the procedure for glucose testing) and then allows drops of blood to fall onto a collection card. When the collection card is dry the patient will package up the sample and return to the lab using the prepaid shipping provided (check box if it has UPS or US Mail prepaid shipping).  It's quick, it's easy, and it's less painful than standard Vitamin D blood draw testing.

Why Should I Test My Vitamin D Level?
Insufficient Vitamin D levels are associated with the following health concerns:

   -Osteoporosis and osteomalacia (fractures)
-Cancers including breast, prostate and colon
   -Hypertension
   -Heart disease
   -Insulin resistance and metabolic syndrome
   -Depression
   -Seasonal Affective Disorder
   -Facial Hair and Acne
   -Migraines
-Lowered resistance to influenza and viruses
   -Pain and muscle aches
